Day 01
Arrive Mumbai
Arrive in Mumbai, the Commercial capital of India. After
completing formalities with customs and immigration, you
will be received by our representative with Traditional
Indian Welcome (with garlands).
Mumbai is the capital of Maharastra State and the
gateway to this beguiling subcontinent. Of the four
great cities in India, Mumbai is the most cosmopolitan,
spear heading India's move in to the 21st Century.
Afterwards transfer to your hotel for the overnight
stay.
Day 02
In Mumbai
After breakfast you embark on the sightseeing trip of
World famous Elephanta Caves and Mumbai city.
Elephanta Caves: A must for any visitor to India.
Mute testimony of the Golden Age in Indian history
during the Gupta period and built to honour Lord Shiva.
Elephanta is a 3 kms long elongated island, consisting
of two hills separated by a valley. The caves with
rock-cut figures and carvings are believed to be carved
by the sculptors of Ajanta or Udayagiri. In the
afternoon the guest enjoy the sightseeing tour of the
Mumbai City:
Mumbai City : includes a visit the Gateway of
India-erected to commemorate the landing of King George
V and Queen Mary in 1911; Prince of Wales Museum,
Jehangir Art Gallery, Marine Drive, Chowpatty beach,
Hanging Gardens and the Crawford Market.
After completing the sightseeing return back to the
Hotel for Overnight.
Day 03
Mumbai - Bangalore (Flight)
Breakfast at hotel. This morning assisted in the
transfer to the domestic airport to board the flight for
Bangalore.
Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka, is a veritable
melting pot of various races and cultures. This Garden
City has well - laid out parks, gardens, long avenues of
blossoming trees and salubrious climate. Emerging as the
hi-tech capital of India, it still retains a charm that
is totally Indian. Founded in 1537 by a local Chieftain
Kempe Gowda, Bangalore has changed dramatically over the
years.
On arrival in Bangalore you are received at the airport
and are transferred to the hotel for check in.
Rest of the day free at leisure.
Overnight will be in Bangalore.
Day 04
In Bangalore
Breakfast at hotel. This morning embark upon the half
day city tour which would include the visit to :
The Bull Temple – situated south of Bangalore, is
the Bull Temple, the deity is a massive 15-foot Basava
or bull, which is the vehicle of Lord Shiva. The cause
for wonder about this Nandi is that it has been carved
from a single boulder.
Cubbon Park - planned and laid out in 1864, this
beautiful 300-acre park contains the public library and
the museum.
Lal Bagh - These 240-acre gardens contain the
largest collection of rare tropical and sub-tropical
plants with many awesome century-old trees. Fountains,
terraces, lotus pools, rose gardens and a deer park
surround the magnificent glass house built in 1840, on
the lines of London's Crystal Palace.
Vidhana Soudha - Bangalore’s most majestic
looking landmark, with a total plinth area of over 5,
00,000 sq. ft is built in a neo-Dravidian style. It
houses the Secretariat, the State legislature and
several other Government offices.
Return to the hotel after the sightseeing. Evening at
leisure.
Overnight will be in Bangalore.
Day 05
Bangalore - Mysore By Surface (Approx 135 Kms – 04
Hours)
After breakfast drive to your next exotic destination
called Mysore by surface.
Mysore is the erstwhile capital of Wodeyars, the rulers
of Mysore state. The Wodeyar family ruled Mysore since
14th century except for a short period of 40 years when
Hyder n were the rulers. Mysore has never failed to
mesmerise the tourists with its quaint charm, rich
heritage, magnificent palaces, beautifully laid-out
gardens, imposing buildings, broad shady avenues and
sacred temples. The charm leaves no one untouched.
On arrival you check in. Relax in the hotel after check
in.
Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06
Mysore – Bangalore By Surface (Approx 135 Kms – 04
Hours) Bangalore – Chennai (Flight)
After breakfast embark on the sightseeing of Mysore
which would include the visits to Srirangapatnam and
Tipu's Summer Palace, the Maharaja's Palace and Chamundi
Hill, which is topped with a 12th century temple of
Durga with the magnificent 5m tall Nandi. Carved from a
single piece of granite in year 1659, it is one of the
largest in India
After completing the sightseeing drive back to
Bangalore. Upon arrival assisted in the transfer to the
airport to connect the flight for Chennai.
Madras is a fascinating city with its ancient temples
and unique culture, golden sandy beaches merging with
the breakers of the Bay of Bengal and a marvelous
tradition of music and dance
Upon arrival In Chennai welcomed and received at the
airport and assisted in the transfer to the hotel.
Overnight will be in Chennai.
Day 07
Chennai – Kancheepuram By Surface Approx (40 Kms – 01
½ Hours)
After breakfast embark upon the morning city tour of
Chennai where you would visit :
Sri Kapaleeswarar temple : this ancient siva
temple is a delightful introduction to dravidian temple
sculpture & architectture.
Fort St. george : the building of the nucleus of
this fort in 1640 was the first step towards the
founding of chennai and an empire,
The Marina Beach & Aquarium : 3 kms from chennai,
stretching two miles, from the coovum river’s mouth,
south of the fort, till the northern boundaries of the
16th century portuguese town sam thome, is this
magnificient beach drive & promenade.
After completing the sightseeing return to the hotel.
Evening free at leisure.
Overnight will be in Chennai.
Day 08
In Chennai.
Enjoy your Buffet breakfast at the hotel. After
breakfast embark upon the sightseeing of Kanchipuram and
Mahabalipuram
Kancheepuram : known as the Golden city of a
thousand temples. This is one of India’s sacred cities.
Many early styles of temple architectural design; the
Five Radhas-a group of monolithic monuments and animal
figures carved out of solid rock; the Shore Temple,
lashed by the waves of the Sea; and the huge frescoe;
‘The Penance of Bhagirathi’.
Mahabalipuram : An ancient coastal port South of
Madras, here you will see many sculptures and temples of
typical South India architectural designs; the five
Radhas - A group of Monolithic monuments of animal
figures carved out of solid rock; the shore temple,
lashed by the waves of the sea, and the Huge frescoes;
the penance of Bhagirath.
After completing the sightseeing return back to the
hotel.
Overnight will be in Chennai.
Day 09
Chennai – Overseas (Flight)
Breakfast at hotel. Free till departure. Post afternoon
assisted in your departure transfer to Chennai
International airport to board the flight back home. |
